Cala Mesquida is a long stretch of sandy beach set among pine trees and sand dunes on the northeast coast of Mallorca. The nearest town is the small town of Capdepera, about 7 kilometres away. The area surrounding Cala Mesquida was specially designated as an “area of special interest” by the Balearic government in 1991, helping to protect some of its wild natural beauty. As a result, Cala Mesquida is considered one of the Island’s most beautiful beaches.
The beach of Cala Mesquida is roughly 350 metres long, shaped like a bay, with fine-grain sand and turquoise water. However, the water is relatively shallow, making it nice and easy for everyone.
We have chosen this special place because it is one of the most scenic areas of Mallorca. In today’s fast pace life, Cala Mesquida provides a unique peace. Standing on the white sand and surrounded by rocks on both sides, one feels a sense of awe with nature that stays with you always. The beach’s location is relatively unprotected; meaning is more exposed to wind and waves than other places on the Island.
